We’re getting teeth!!!!!!

Baby J is finally teething, now that he’s over 9 months. He has a top and a bottom tooth coming in at the same time. Now I understand why he went from sleeping well to waking up several times a night last week! Considering the discomfort he’s in, Baby J is being a real trooper. He has an amber necklace, and I’ve also given him some Hyland’s teething tablets and Baby Orajel. Does any of that stuff really work?

  1. I have to admit I’m pretty glad I don’t remember getting teeth – having a sharp object coming through your gums just sounds awful 🙁 My itty bitty has one tooth – bottom left incisor and we are drooling as though we are working on a second. The Hyland tabs have worked really well for us especially at night if she is having trouble sleeping….I haven’t tried the amber necklace let, so you’ll have to let me know…but a dear friend of mine loves hers!

    1. Last night was the first time I tried Hylands, and he didn’t wake up as much…I’m hoping that’s the correlation! But today is really rough. He needs to nap but won’t…he wants me to hold him constantly, and I can’t get anything done. I tried wearing him on my hip with a wrap, but I still can’t get much done that way. Ah well… hopefully this will all be over quickly! Until the next tooth, that is.

  2. Hi Elisebet!

Love your blog, so funny I stumbled across your post about the baby teeth! We were just talking about that on Facebook with our ‘teething stages’ guide. I know a lot of our ladies have tried the amber necklaces and had really awesome results. Might be worth a try?

    1. Hi! Thanks for commenting. We actually do have a teething necklace, but I had only been putting it on him during the day. I’d heard they shouldn’t wear it at night…BUT I left it on him the last couple of nights, and he did sleep longer intervals before waking. So I would say it does appear to really work!
