Okay, I was supposed to post this Saturday, but life got in the way! Jill Conyers from Fitness, Health, and Happiness; Nikki from Grab Your Kicks; and Lynda from Fitnessmomwinecountry are co-hosting the Ultimate Coffee Date the first Saturday of every month.
Anyone can join in! If you’re a blogger, you can link up your post at Jill’s. Not a blogger? Join in by using the comment box at the bottom of this post.
If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you how excited and nervous I am about moving to Maryland this summer. Although I’ll miss the friends I’ve made here in Southern Virginia, we’ll be close enough for them to visit if they like. I look forward to meeting new people, and most of all, I can’t wait to have my husband actually living with us!
If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you that I ran after dark on Friday night and totally biffed! My mother-in-law is visiting and watched my son for me, while I ran around the neighborhood. There’s a stretch along the road where there’s no sidewalk for some reason…it just randomly disappears for about 10 feet. I didn’t want to run on the road, since there were cars coming, so I ran through the grass/sticks, and tripped right over a tree root! I tore up the knees on my almost brand-new capris, but I think I can turn them into running shorts. A patch of skin is also missing off my right knee, and now the area is infected, yuck.

If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you how addicted I get to shows on Netflix. I’ll binge and watch two or three seasons of something in a row. I’m not alone in this, right? You do it too, don’t you?!
If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you I’m thankful for my friends and family. Never take them for granted, because you don’t know how little time you may have with them. Several friends have lost loved ones recently, so this has struck home.
If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you that I’ve been slacking lately with both my diet and exercise. I’m not working as hard as I should and need to stop being lazy! I need to get out of this funk, because warm weather is coming soon; I can’t hide under sweatshirts and hoodies much longer. How do you motivate yourself to be active?

congrats on the move!!! I love fresh starts. Sorry to hear about the wipe out. I’ve been there!
unfortunately life gets in the way, way to often. That cut looks really nasty.. heel quick
Oh no, your poor knee! So sorry you had a fall. I hope it heals quickly. But at least you got a run in up until the tree root played a mean trick on you. I really like this feature, talking about what you would talk about with a friend over coffee. Very clever! I would tell you that I am certain that my fiance has the male equivalent of PMS going on today. I swear it exists. It has to.
Men totally get PMS!!! I agree with you there. =D
Gosh, I wish my Netflix account was for myself, but my kids tend to hog it. I’m so sorry you fell jogging! That looks so painful! I’m excited for you to move and have your husband living with you again. That has got to be hard. Hang in there!
Ha, once I get started on a Netflix show I’m all done, too! Congrats on your move and this is a really neat idea for a link up! Love it
LOTS OF COFFEE MORNING NOON AND NIGHT!!!! LOL!
Ouch! It looks like you got scuffed up pretty bad. Hope it’s better!
Oh no that looks bad. Hope you recover really quickly.
I’m not active at all. Ever since lung surgery I just can’t. At best I can walk a slow gentle walk on a flat ground.
Oh wow! Sounds really painful and tough! Are you able to swim?
Oh no! I hope your knee is feeling better!
I would tell you that I am definitely forever grateful for my family and that I am super stressed out about the new house that we put a bid on.
I’m sorry to hear that! I have friends going through that right now, and it does sound stressful! (We rent, so I haven’t experienced this myself yet)
Oh, your poor leg 🙁 But I guess it’s better to have some scratched on your knee than to be run over by a car. Hope you’re better now.
Hahah, yes! That was my logic 😉
Awww I hope your knee feels better! I am very thankful for my friends and family as well. They definitely know how to keep my grounded since I can have very big unrealistic dreams at times!
I hope you have healed and that things are better now!
This is a cute idea!! 🙂 I’m sorry you fell and hurt your knee! I hope it’s better ASAP!
Congrats on your move! Hope your knee gets better soon! ouch!
AUCH! That must have hurt! Remember to take care of it and not go off running before it’s healed again!
Okay first, running in the dark is never a good idea. Second, more coffee please. Third, congrats on moving to maryland – how exciting!
Elisebet…Oh my goodness, what a hard core runner you are, to go out after dark LOL. Ouch
I have been slacking a bit also and need to get my running/training done a bit better for the Zomma race this June in Napa, CA {my backyard}. So you are saying that we can’t keep wearing out cute hoodies and sweaters this summer? LOL
Thanks for joining us for coffee, see you next month 🙂
Well, maybe less hard core and more not thinking straight. =D But I’ve never had an incident like this, while running around here at night. Our streets are lit up very well in this neighborhood.
i like anything with coffee in it…. 😀
Hi Elisebet! I’m catching up on the Coffee Date posts and was so happy to see you joined! I hope your knees are feeling better by now. Is it crazy that I love to move? If it were up to me and if I didn’t have kids in school, I would move every 5 years or so to a new city.
That’s cool! So do you like to travel then?
Ouch! Hope that leg healed!
If we were having coffee I’d tell you that I just followed you on Twitter so we can share tips!
