The Ultimate Coffee Date (#2)

I know, I know…I’m late posting this, but I had a busy weekend. The first Saturday of every month, several bloggers including myself will be getting together for a virtual coffee date. If you’re a blogger, you’re welcome to join in by posting on your blog and linking up at JillConyers.com. If you’re not a blogger, feel free to tell me about yourself and how you’re doing in the comment section below.

The Ultimate (Virtual) Coffee Date

If we were having coffee today, I’d tell you that I babysat some little boys this weekend while their parents were out of town. Last time I babysat them, we all ended up with a horrible stomach bug, so I’m thankful this weekend was completely uneventful!

If we were having coffee today, I’d tell you I’m so happy the weather is finally warming up. We’ve been able to get outside more and even go for a bike ride.

If we were having coffee today, I’d tell you I’m hoping to go strawberry picking this week at a local farm and also make it to the Farmer’s Market this weekend.

If we were having coffee today, I’d tell you I had my hair chopped off two weeks ago and love it. It’s very freeing.

If we were having coffee today, I’d tell you the nearly-new charging cable for my MacBook is dead, and I refuse to spend money on another one. I’m trying to locate the receipt from the Navy Exchange, where I got it; in the meantime, I’m making due with a tiny Toshiba notebook. My iPhone has been acting up too, so I’m not crazy about Apple products right now.

If we were having coffee today, I’d tell you my son turned 2 years old yesterday. I can’t believe how big he is! We had a small birthday party with his cousins a couple of weeks ago, but I also bought him a little cupcake and candles for yesterday. His Dad tuned in from Texas via FaceTime, and we sang Happy Birthday to Baby J while he attempted to blow out his candles.

I guess I can’t call him “Baby” J anymore. πŸ™

If we were having coffee today, I’d tell you that intermittent fasting is going well, but I still need to be more consistent with weight lifting. Going to bed at a decent hour and getting enough sleep is probably integral to this and what I really need to work on!

But my time is up, got to go! Time to get the oven on and dinner prepped. There’s always something right? =D

If we were having coffee, what would you tell me?

  1. Good to know all about your recent fun activities. True Baby Jay is not baby anymore. He has grown so much, and seeing him do different non-baby things, expressing himself in his own words that may still be unclear to us grownups but shows actions to describe what he is trying to say. Cute!

  2. Sleep is so important! I have to stop sleeping less when I feel pressured to get things done. It seems like it’s the first thing to go when it should be the last. Happy birthday to your son. Love love love the new hairstyle. I cut mine short a few weeks ago but should have gone shorter. next time πŸ™‚

I’m so happy we could find time to catch up πŸ™‚
