We made the decision to switch Little Mister from disposable diapers to cloth diapers when he was just 5 months old. At the time I felt it would be a great move for us because of the amount of money we would save from buying disposables! After we built a small stash, I fell in love and began wanting to try out different styles and types of diapers – and that’s when I learned about diaper covers and the various forms of inserts that can be used with them!

Buttons Diapers is a family owned business that features fabulous high quality diaper covers and snap in inserts! Their covers are are soft, leak proof, and offer double gussets around the legs to help keep messes inside of the diapers! The inserts are made from four layers of absorbent microfiber and feature a layer of fleece on top to help wick the moisture away from baby’s skin. After having the opportunity to try out a few of Button’s Diapers, we have fallen in love!

Win a copy of "I Miss Daddy" deployment book for kids & their parents on My Life: A Work in Progress

I haven’t hosted a giveaway in a few weeks, so I think it’s about time! One winner will receive a paperback copy of Acacia Beumer’s book I Miss Daddy, valued at $8.99 (current Amazon price). Although the book is geared towards military kids and their parents, I think it’s a worthy book to add to any child’s library.

You can read my full review here, but to recap, the book highlights through the main character, Jana, that children don’t usually express their sadness the way adults do. A child may be acting out, because she or he misses their deployed parent. That’s something adults need to be sensitive to. Besides reminding parents to be mindful of this, the book can be used as a talking point to open these conversations with your children.
