Review: Nuby Insulated Clik-It Sipper

Nuby Clik-It Insulated Sipper. Find out more on My Life: A Work in Progress

I have another fun Nûby product to share with you today! Nûby sent us the new No-Spill Insulated Cool Sipper to review. It’s the newest sippy cup in our cupboard and our favorite.

First, I love the Clik-It technology, and I’m so glad Nûby came out with a line of Clik-It cups. Just today I handed Baby J a sippy cup (it wasn’t a Nûby cup); he tipped it back to drink and dumped water all over himself, because I didn’t put the lid on properly. Oops. I’m just glad it was water and not milk. With the Clik-It cups this won’t happen. You know if you hear that “click,” the lid is on properly.

The cup is BPA-free and available in several fun colors.

Because this cup is insulated, it also keeps drinks cooler longer than a regular sippy cup without a “sweating” cup that gets all over everything. It’s my favorite cup to toss in the diaper bag. I even chose it as the one cup Baby J and I took with us to Florida to visit Hubby. It’s usually the one we take to church too, so it’ll keep his water cool for several hours while he plays in the nursery.

Jogging with Mama…Baby J gets thirsty too!

It’s important to get the spout into the lid properly, or the lid will leak…so watch for that. It’s a soft spout, by the way, unlike some of the other insulated cups I’ve seen. I’m very happy with this cup, and I wish all of Baby J’s cups had the Click-It feature!

You can buy Nûby’s Clik-It cups from Target.

Review: Nûby iMonster No-Spill Cup

Have you seen the Nûby iMonster products? Nûby sent me an iMonster cup to review!

 photo imonsterinfographic_zpsbf2da169.png

About:

The Nûby iMonster No-Spill Cup is a Step 2 cup designed for little ones six months and older. This BPA-free, 11oz cup holds plenty of liquids while encouraging natural drinking action and oral development.

The iMonster series also includes a snack keeper, fork and spoon, toddler plate, and toddler bowl.

Our Experiences:

I’ve enjoyed all of our Nûby cups, and this was no exception. I prefer the one-piece spout that the iMonster No-Spill Cup has to other designs. Although I see benefits to having a removable spout, it can be hard to keep track of a loose spout in the sink or dishwasher.

If you’re unfamiliar with the one-spout design, they are “no-spill” if they’re just tipped or waved around. However, keep in mind that if your child drops the cup directly onto its spout, the pressure on the spout will allow liquid to escape. So in most, but not all, circumstances this cup is no-spill.

Most of Baby J’s sippy cups have handles, but he does fine with this style. It’s probably time I start the transition toward a regular cup. He started using cups late, so I haven’t been too worried about it. I also like how much milk or water this cup holds. As he’s getting older, he really drinks a lot.

Besides working great, this cup is cute!

Review: Nuby Grip N’ Sip cup

It’s been a few days since I really posted. First I was out of town; then my parents visited; and we celebrated Baby J’s first birthday, so things have been really busy around here! Baby J has also been making strides using a sippy cup (finally!), and one of our favorite cups to use is the Grip N’ Sip that Nûby sent us to review.

Nuby Grip 'N Sip Cup

About:

The two handles on the Nûby Grip N’ Sip cup are sized perfectly for children to transition to self feeding and drinking. They’re durable and designed to be easily and comfortably grasped. The easy to use and easy to clean one piece No-Spill spout is soft and made of silicone. According to Nûby, the spout promotes a “natural drinking action and healthy oral development” while preventing drips and spills. The Touch-Flo feature regulates the fluid intake during the child’s sucking action. As a leak-resistant cup, the spout closes when the child stops sucking.

Our experiences:

Baby J is able to hold the cup on his own, no problem. Although, I am still teaching him to tilt it back to actually drink. He still likes to chew on sippy cups, more than anything. 🙁 I really like that the cup is just three pieces: the cup, the lid/handles, and the spout. Not having a separate valve makes it easier to keep track of the pieces and keep the cup clean. Baby J dumps this cup over, and it doesn’t leak. I can also dangle it upside down, and again- no leaks. So I’m pleased with the No-Spill spout; it’s holding up to the task.
