Review: Nuby Grip N’ Sip cup

It’s been a few days since I really posted. First I was out of town; then my parents visited; and we celebrated Baby J’s first birthday, so things have been really busy around here! Baby J has also been making strides using a sippy cup (finally!), and one of our favorite cups to use is the Grip N’ Sip that Nûby sent us to review.

About:

The two handles on the Nûby Grip N’ Sip cup are sized perfectly for children to transition to self feeding and drinking. They’re durable and designed to be easily and comfortably grasped. The easy to use and easy to clean one piece No-Spill spout is soft and made of silicone. According to Nûby, the spout promotes a “natural drinking action and healthy oral development” while preventing drips and spills. The Touch-Flo feature regulates the fluid intake during the child’s sucking action. As a leak-resistant cup, the spout closes when the child stops sucking.

Our experiences:

Baby J is able to hold the cup on his own, no problem. Although, I am still teaching him to tilt it back to actually drink. He still likes to chew on sippy cups, more than anything. 🙁 I really like that the cup is just three pieces: the cup, the lid/handles, and the spout. Not having a separate valve makes it easier to keep track of the pieces and keep the cup clean. Baby J dumps this cup over, and it doesn’t leak. I can also dangle it upside down, and again- no leaks. So I’m pleased with the No-Spill spout; it’s holding up to the task.

  1. I like the design of that sip cup 🙂 My son is using a straw cup and probably won’t pass the stage of a sip cup because he doesn’t like it. Or perhaps not interested to use it yet. I also prefer cups with handles for the baby to hold. 🙂
