  1. I was sooo dreading breaking my two tots (at the same time) from their beloved paci’s! But, as suggested & I sooo did not think it’d work even in the slightest bit, I snipped the ends off of them & crazy enough, it WORKED!!! Magic!!! They threw them in the trash b/c they were ‘broke’! Simple as that! 😉

    1. Hi Amanda, that’s awesome that it worked so easily for you! I’d never actually heard of snipping the ends before but will remember that for if we have more kids. My son actually weaned himself off his paci at 8 months once he started teething. I think maybe it hurt his teeth, because he just wasn’t interested in having a paci in his mouth anymore. I was lucky I guess!

  2. Our baby isn’t here yet but I’m praying she takes a pacifier. My littlest brother never took one and my mom found he would nurse a lot more than any of the rest of us and she figured that was the reason.

    1. Hi Jessica, I think your mom was probably right. My son didn’t take a pacifier right away; he used me as one instead, and it was horrible. It definitely made nursing more difficult, because him constantly suckling made me agonizingly sore. :/ I hope she takes one too!

  3. We’ve just finally gotten our newborn to start taking a paci at 5 weeks – she was using me as a pacifier, and it was exhausting! I am very glad she started taking it – now we need to work on getting her to take a bottle!!
