My son had the regular teething Sophie, and to be honest…it wasn’t his favorite teether. He loved to squish it and hear the squeak more than he liked to chew on it! But many of our friends and family’s little ones LOVE the teething Sophie. I just met a baby girl last week who loves her Sophie. So I’d say it’s definitely worth it to try one with your baby. When Little Mister was a baby, we received a Sophie la Girafe as a baby shower gift and I immediately fell in love with her! Although my son never favored her as a teether, the more he grew the more he loved to play with her. Sophie is made from a soft natural rubber and has a fun little “squeak” to her when she is squished or gnawed on. For Little Boy, I knew that a new Sophie was a must since Little Mister still loves his (he sleeps with her every night!), and I was delighted to see that Sophie now had an equally as adorable friend, the plush rattle!

Our Experiences:

I think Baby J is working on cutting his first canine, and it’s slow going. He doesn’t seem to be excessively uncomfortable, but the gum looks a little white and bumpy, and a few times a day he goes to town on something, chewing away. Tonight it was his Under the Sea teether. For some reason, Baby J has always really liked to chew on fabric, so any teethers with a fabric piece, he especially likes. All of the Under the Sea teethers have fabric areas. I think they’re great not just for teething but for sensory play with real little ones.
