Review: Nuby IcyBite Animal Teethers

I received a complimentary Nuby Icy Bite teether to review.

As a first-time parent, I’m learning that teething never stops the first two years. Does it stop at two? Please tell me it stops eventually!

Right now we’re dealing with pre-molars and canines. When Baby J is in pain, I always prefer to use natural options first, before reaching for any sort of medication. I’ve heard many times the benefit of cold things against a baby’s sore gum, but the downside I’ve found is, well, it’s cold. Baby J doesn’t want to hold cold fruit or a frozen washrag, etc. Yes, there are ways around it (wrap the end of a frozen washrag in a non-frozen washrag), but surely there’s a more efficient option! And that’s what’s exciting about Nûby’s IcyBite Animal Teethers.

Nuby's IcyBite Animal Teethers

Nuby's IcyBite animal teether features a removable cover. Find out more on My Life: A Work in Progress

This BPA-free teether has a removeable cover that your baby can grasp, so his or her little hands don’t get cold!

In the shapes of animals, these teethers are fun and brightly colored. The non-toxic PurICE gel inside the teethers stays cool longer than water filled teethers. Just place the teether inside your fridge until it’s cold, and then give it to your baby to soothe your little one’s sore gums.

Review: Nuby Teether Tugz

This post is brought to you by Nûby!

Teether Tugz

About and Our Experiences:

Teether Tugz by Nûby are cuddly and comforting characters that are as fun to play with as they are cute! The different fabrics are soft and perfect for baby to cuddle, while the textured teething pieces at the end of the ears are great for teething toddlers. Teether Tugz are available in three adorable characters: butterfly, rabbit, and elephant.

Teether Tugz by Nuby
A tired little boy recovering from his boo-boo!

As I’ve mentioned before, Baby J loves fluff, as in plush toys. We received the elephant Teether Tugz to review. Strangely, he prefers to chew on the nose than the textured areas on the ears. I don’t think he’s cutting a tooth at the moment though, so we’ll see what happens when he does. He might want something a little firmer to bite on then. I think he finds the bright colors and patterns attractive, because when I hold it out, he runs over and grabs it. Baby also likes to carry/drag it around. The multiple limbs are easy for him to grasp.

Review: Nuby Chewbies teether (NEW product!)

Nuby sent me three of their brand-new teethers to review, including the Chewbies!

About and Our Experiences:

The Chewbies is a soft silicone teether. It is BPA-free and includes a hygienic carrying case, perfect for on the go. For ages three months and up, the multiple teething surfaces massage and sooth baby’s gums. This teether is ideal for front teeth, easy for baby to grasp, and endorsed by pediatric dentist, Dr. Grace Yum.

Baby J immediately grabbed this teether when he saw it, and he enjoys carrying it around and biting on it. We seem to have a reprieve from teething, at the moment, but he still likes to bite things. I think that a baby or toddler that uses a pacifier would really enjoy this teether, as they can put it in their mouth, hands-free, and walk or crawl around with it.

Find Chewbies at your local Walmart store!

Here are some blurry photos I took (Baby J moves too fast!). What do you think? Would you try the Chewbies for your little one?
