Instagram Giveaway: Bugaboo Bee stroller (Ends 3/31)

*sponsored*

If there’s a stroller I would drool over, it’s any of the Bugaboo strollers! The Bugaboo Bee is compact and lightweight with a reversible reclining seat. The height of the backrest and the length of the seat can both be adjusted, so this stroller will take your little one from baby to toddler.

Foam wheels, independent suspension, height adjustable handlebar, rear parking break…sounds nice doesn’t it?

I should also mention Bugaboo has awesome accessories available too: sun canopy, foot muff, parasol, seat liners, organizers and more. Your baby is sure to ride in both comfort and style in one of these!

Want to win one? If you have an Instagram account (it’s free), you can enter to win a Bugaboo Bee just by 1. Following PishPoshBabyDotCom on Instagram 2. Reposting the giveaway photo from their Instagram profile (I use the free “PhotoRepost” app) 3. And tag #PishPoshBee in your reposted photo.

Already available in Europe, Pish Posh Baby is rolling out the Bugaboo Cameleon3 Classic Collection stroller. This nostalgic stroller mixes the classic baby buggy look together with modern comfort. Available in Navy Blue or Dark Khaki, this stroller is versatile, light, and compact.

Baby Jogger

I’ve mentioned the Baby Jogger stroller line before when I’ve talked about finishing the year right and setting fitness goals for 2014. If you’re the parent of a baby or young child, I highly recommend a good jogging stroller for walking, running, and any kind of off-road terrain (sand at the beach, gravel, etc.). This has made a difference in my health.

Baby Jogger is a versatile line of strollers. Some are built specifically for running with your little one, while others are more compact and well suited for urban lifestyles. All of them are available in multiple colors, so if you don’t like the color pictured below, check out the Pish Posh Baby website to see the others.

Baby Jogger City Mini 2014
Baby Jogger City Mini 2014

Designed for the city or the suburbs, the Baby Jogger City Mini 2014 features a patented Quick-Fold Technology, swivel front wheel with the ability to lock into place, padded reclining seat, large multi-position sun canopy, and more. With a lightweight design, this stroller is easy to maneuver and store for on-the-go parents.

Baby Jogger City Mini Double 2014
Baby Jogger City Mini Double 2014

The Baby Jogger City Mini Double 2014 has a weight capacity of 100 lbs, so it’s easy to carry your two children in comfort and style. Like other Baby Jogger strollers, it features Quick-Fold Technology, allowing you to fold it with just one hand.

City Mini GT 2014
City Mini GT 2014

Like the City Mini, the Baby Jogger City Mini GT 2014 is also great for urban environments, but has a few more upgrades and features, making it ready to handle more rugged terrain.

Of course, the more rugged City Mini GT also comes as a double stroller, the Baby Jogger City Mini GT Double 2014. Check out the brand new teal color! The single City Mini GT is available in teal, as well.

City Mini 4 Wheel 2014
City Mini 4 Wheel 2014

This year the Baby Jogger City Mini 4 Wheel 2014 has been updated with a new logo, new color, and an improved harness. Weighing less than 20 lbs itself, the lightweight City Mini 4 Wheel can carry up to 65 lbs. Recline the seat until almost flat to let your baby rest. Like other models, the retractable weather cover can be used during adverse weather.

Baby Jogger City Elite 2014

With a new logo and a new harness, the Baby Jogger City Elite 2014 is better than ever. Grey has also replaced the sand color (see above). The swivel front wheel locks into place when needed, while the 12″ quick release tires navigate rough terrain smoothly. The soft handlebar console has multiple storage compartments.

The Baby Jogger City Select  2014 might be the only stroller your family will ever need. Attach a bassinet for babies, remove the bassinet as your child grows, and add a second seat when your family expands.

Baby Jogger FIT 2014
Baby Jogger FIT 2014

It’s built for speed! The Baby Jogger FIT 2014 has 16″ quick-release wheels, hand caliper brake, padded reclining seat, and a sun canopy with peek-a-boo window. The padded adjustable 5-point safety harness and rear parking brake will help keep your little one safe on your excursions. An infant car seat adapter is available for separate purchase.

Baby Jogger Summit X3 2014

My favorite from the new line-up, the Baby Jogger Summit X3 2014 has an all-wheel suspension and remote swivel lock for the front wheel! Like the other Baby Joggers, this stroller still features the patented Quick-Fold Technology to fold in just one step. There are hand-operated rear drum brakes, and a rear parking brake. Like the FIT, the ergonomic handlebar has a wipe-clean grip.

Visit Pish Posh Baby to see the exact specifications for each of these strollers. Don’t forget, you can speak to a Mom Rep through live chat or on the phone, if you need help or have a question.

Which stroller was your favorite? What feature did you like?

Finish the year right!

*Post contains sponsored content.*

It’s no secret to my friends and family that I gained too much weight while pregnant. I always said I wouldn’t be one of those women who blimped and gained 70 lbs. while pregnant. But I totally was! I have a few excuses why, but the biggest reason is that I just wasn’t active enough. I’d come home to an empty apartment after a long day at work (my husband was deployed), and all I’d want to do is eat and sleep or eat and watch TV. So that’s what I did.

Pregnancy

After I had my son, I made a point of walking several times a week. If the weather was nice, I went to a local park. In bad weather, I walked around inside the mall. I’d go months without seeing a lot of results, and I wanted to give up. But I always felt better after exercising, so I continued to do it. Eventually it paid off. After 18 months postpartum, I finally reached my pre-pregnancy weight. I attribute my weight loss to a healthy diet and frequent exercise.

Running has never been my “thing.” Walking is enjoyable, but I’ve always claimed to hate running. This fall I finally got tired of my negative mentality and decided the only way to get over it was to train for a half marathon in the Spring! In just a couple of months, I went from barely being able to run 3/4 of a mile to running 10 miles!

Here are my two tips for making running a little less sucky for moms:

  1. Run with a buddy (or several!).
  2. Buy a quality jogging stroller.

I have another mom that I run with regularly, and occasionally, other women join us. That’s the only way I could’ve made this much progress in a few months. If you don’t know anyone who wants to run…well, first try to persuade them. Maybe bribe them with coffee afterwards or something! You could also check out local meet-up groups for moms. A quick Google search should help you find other mamas in the area.

Once in a while, I still do run by myself (and Baby J, of course), but it’s difficult. I usually run longer and faster than I would’ve this summer though, before I started my running journey.

Also, a good jogging stroller is very important! I’ve only run without Baby J a couple of times. Normally, I have him with me. If it’s a cold day, I bundle him up. He’s even worn his entire snow suit before, sitting in the stroller on a cold, windy day! Baby J loves to come with me on runs. He’ll fuss if I stop moving! And if you have a baby that struggles to nap, running with a jogging stroller could be a great way to soothe your little one to sleep.

We’re approaching the new year, but before starting your resolutions…why not finish this year the right way? You still have a week and a few days. Sure, enjoy the delicious holiday foods. But why not get out there and bump up your exercise routine before 2014!
