Last week, Baby Jay and I met Hubby at the Norfolk Coffee & Tea Company after Hubby got off work. If you live in the Hampton Roads area and like coffee, this is the place to visit! A family-owned business since 1918, the Norfolk Coffee & Tea Company has a fantastic line-up of quality coffees. They’re a vendor and retail operation, so you can walk in and purchase coffee to take home, but they also supply many restaurants and other establishments.
When you first drive up to the store, there’s not much to see. It looks like a small, old warehouse or store front.
But when you walk through that front door, the aromas that hit you might send you into a state of bliss! That is, if you’re a coffee lover. If you’re not, I’m betting you still think it smells pretty darn good in there!
They have a front counter and some coffee beans and tea for sale near the door, but the majority of their business clearly takes place in the warehouse area.

We were there to purchase a last-minute Christmas present and to buy some coffee to feed my addiction! We walked away with some amazing Hawaiian Kona coffee and the Downton Norfolk blend. They also had chocolate covered espresso beans, which I love. But besides the usual dark chocolate-covered beans, they had a mix of beans coated with milk chocolate, white chocolate, dark chocolate, and something else (not sure, but it was yummy). I’d never seen a mix like that before, and I loved it. We’ll definitely be buying more as a treat.
