Chicken Puree is gross

I may have already mentioned this, but I started my son on solids about a week ago now that he’s 6 months. We started with organic brown rice cereal mixed with breast milk, and then he had pureed pears. Today, I cooked a whole chicken in the slow cooker, and had plenty of chicken leftovers after dinner. My mother bought me a Baby Brezza as a shower gift, so I popped about a cup of cooked chicken in there, and it blended it right up. I was curious, so I tasted it. Gross. Of course, when I’m feeding Baby J tomorrow, I’m going to act like it’s the most delicious thing ever!

**Updated Nov. 9. I mixed the chicken with pears, and Baby J LOVED it! He kept yelling at hubby to feed him more! Score me!

I think next week, we’re going to try sweet potato, and I’m not sure what else. Maybe a veggie?

Throughout the day, I always think of these great things that I want to blog about, but by the time I actually sit down…my thoughts are gone. I know that lately I’ve been posting mostly giveaway-type posts with a smattering of personal posts. I need to get back into reviews, DIY, cooking, etc. I’ve been busy, but the truth is that as the holiday season comes up, I’m just going to get busier. I’ve never been good at sticking to a schedule, but I think that’s really what I need to do at this point.

I’ve almost finished Baby J’s “Thor” costume. Maybe I can post about that this weekend. I’m working on the helmet right now, and I have to say that it would be a lot easier if I was any good at geometry. Getting all the pieces to fit together to make a hat is proving difficult for me!

Well, it’s a short post for tonight. Baby J just started crying, and I’d like to get to bed soon too. I visited friends today, so I didn’t get a lot of housework done. I need to make up for that tomorrow.

Have a great night!
