Review: dryer balls by Moss Creek Wool Works

Did you know that many brands of dryer sheets and fabric softeners contain toxic chemicals? Camphor, ethyl acetate, and chloroform are just a few of the chemicals often used that have been linked to cancer, Parkinson’s, and Alzheimer’s.

Mother and entrepreneur, Leah, created Moss Creek Wool Works after her baby boy developed a reaction from their laundry. She then extensively researched chemicals in laundry and other parts of our daily lives.

Pure Wool Dryer Balls

Before I started cloth diapering Baby J, I’d never heard of dryer balls. Now I use them in all of our laundry- not just with the diapers. Dryer balls are a natural, safe way to soften your clothes. As a bonus, they shorten drying time!

Pure wool dryer balls can last for more than 100 loads of laundry, so they’re a great investment. I’ve been using 100% pure Merino wool dryer balls by Moss Creek Wool Works since last August, and they’re still working great!

Handmade in Canada, these dryer balls bounce around in your dryer, separating and softening the clothes, and decreasing static cling. The increased air circulation and the wool’s ability to absorb moisture means clothes dry more quickly.

Okay, I have to confess there’s only one lonely dryer ball in my photo below, because Baby J absconded with the other two in the last couple of days, and I have yet to find them. Dryer balls are fun to play with too, apparently.
